In only 13 days, the institutional power of the Deep State reconcentrated in Washington, DC. Empowered by taking the Senate and White House, Democrats immediately organized a second impeachment of President Trump without witnesses, arrested Capitol protesters, and contemplated how to squash conservative news and opinion.
Despite a signal from the Supreme Court that the impeachment trial would be unconstitutional after Chief Justice John Roberts declared he would not preside over the impeachment trial in the Senate, Democrats decided to hold the trial anyhow by making a member of the jury, Senator Patrick Leahy, also as the judge.
The brazen unconstitutional move by Democrats in Congress is encouraged by an absent Supreme Court who also refused to entertain mountains of evidence of massive election fraud. The Deep State, demonized for four years by Donald Trump, would be confident that they could punish Republicans and their popular President Trump from reelection in 2024. With 10 Republicans in the House and possibly five Republicans in the Senate joining Democrats to convict Trump, the trial will likely fail to impeach him for the second time, by 12 votes.
Democrats are on a road of revenge without brakes. Backed by corporations, academia, Hollywood, media and Silicon Valley, leftist have spent the first days of Biden's Administration blocking Trump supporters -- who they claim are insurrectionists -- from social media platforms, banks, and travel.
Brian Stelter, a CNN commentator who also worked in the White House press pool during the Trump Administration, spoke with former Facebook executive Alex Stamos about how to "turn down the capability" of conservatives to reach "huge audiences." Stamos said "There are people on YouTube for example that have a larger audience than daytime CNN."
CNN's Oliver Darcy added that cable companies must stop carrying news from conservative news channels One America News Network (OANN) and Newsmax.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) posted a video post on Instagram where she contemplated a Truth Committee in Congress to judge which media platforms Americans should watch. "I do think that several members of Congress in some of my discussions have brought up media literacy because that is part of what happened here," Ocasio-Cortez said. "We're going to have to figure out how we rein in our media environment so you can’t just spew disinformation and misinformation," she said.
Protesters who were arrested after the January 6 Capitol protest will be tried in Washington, DC, a Democrat-majority city with Democrat judges and jurors, a partisan revenge trap commonly found in any third-world nation.
Last week, a Trump supporter posted on Facebook how she was detained for interrogation by TSA several times during routine travel to Mexico. When 54-year-old Dana Kurtbek of Bucks County, Pennsylvania asked why she was detained, she said he was told by an agent that her face was matched as a potential domestic terrorist from the July 6 protest in Washington, DC. She claims, though, that she was in the main crowd of protesters and did not walk to the US Capitol. If true, hundreds of thousands of Trump supporters may be targeted by the US government for attending a protest against the government.
As someone on the board of a think-tank that focuses on freedom as naturalized citizens and descendents from African and Caribbean nations, I know what third-world corruption looks like. When politicians reject the Constitution, rig elections, and try to ban the reach of free speech, we should remember what Ronald Reagan said about fascism -- a term that's used as a synonym for authoritarianism -- "If fascism ever comes to America, it will come in the name of liberalism."
For anyone who knows, like I do, that our nation is the last best hope for mankind on earth, we should also look to Confucius who said, "Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves." One for your enemy, the other for our country
